![]() ![]() An amazing 50 first timers joined us and 32 runners got new PB's, including our Tailrunner Quaid Ali! Quaid has fulfilled the Tailrunner role for the last three weeks so if he is getting a PB then we know that the people in front of him are getting better every week, which is fantastic! ![]() ![]() The rain had been kind most of the week so the course was a little less muddy and we returned to a good figure of 115 finishers. While we can't exactly say it was warm on our 5th event, it was definitely less bitter then previous few weeks. Running, eating and socialising - there's no better way to start the weekend! Once the weather improves we might organise a post-run picnic if people are interested. It's great to see many of you staying on after the run to chat amongst yourselves. We still need a few marshals for this coming Saturday so please email us if you can help. The first female home was Allison Beeton, followed by two talented juniors: Rachel Doig and Nicole Rochelle Bibaud.Ī big shout-out to our volunteers who braved the wind to make sure everything ran smoothly. He was followed by Ben Rowlands in second place and Tony Hyde in third. The first runner to finish was Ian Visser who set an impressive new pb of 17:36. Over a hundred of you ran, or were blown around, the very exposed course, We had a great turnout again last Saturday (25th February) despite the cold wind. Winter may not be the best time to start a new venture, especially one that takes place out of doors, but it seems that you runners are a hardy bunch. ![]()
